HELP Please Can't Find Aelos App for Android

Hi All!

I am requesting your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

I own a Aelos Humanoid Robot by Leju. These are very similar to the Ubtech Alpha Humanoids but are much better built (especially when you peak inside). I got it in fantastic used condition and it is a great product but was overpriced in the market.

My problem is quite simple. I lost my Aelos App and can no longer find it on Google Play.

I have a new Android Tablet and most all of my apps automatically transferred to my Tablet from my Android Phone (I was really impressed how smooth it was). But the Aelos App did not transfer (transition) tom the Tablet. No worries, I thought, I’ll just download from Google Play like I did 10 months ago when I bought the Aelos. But it is no longer there!

The good news is that I do still have the app on my 3.5 year-old phone. Unfortunately, on my phone the app only has the option for internal storage so I can’t move it to my micro SD Card and try to move it physically.

There has to be some source on the Internet, for which I am unaware, that has this OR there must be some techie way to “copy and paste” the app from my Phone to my Tablet. One thing, this is the early Aelos NOT the 1S which has its own App.

BTW, this is the very reason I really prefer a physical control interface (at least as an alternate control option) than total reliance on an App for control. The irony here is that Leju actually made a hand-held remote but I could never find one and could not get a response from them.

10 months ago there was much more information on Aelos but now Leju seems focused on Pando (a newer robot product.

If you can’t steer me to the App for download please feel free to suggest something I could try.

Thank you so much in advance for your ideas, suggestions, thoughts and help!

A SHARE of MY SUCCESS Which YOU MAY WANT to Save for Future Reference:

All, I have an update from which you may all benefit.

For the Aelos App, I did a search which included both the App version number and “Android”. This brought up a few 3rd parties that assist with Apps. However, as with many of these “Free” services you must be cautious of downloading their browsers and other questionable software bundles.

Knowing the specific files size of the apk file helped to identify the real deal and I got the app to load directly from a site using Google Search from my tablet. From there it was simple.

BTW, I had a couple other robot Apps which were also missing on Google Play (Cozmo and Alpha 1S). A Cozmo fan told me to try Aptoide which is equivalent to Google Play but in German.

This is what I learned:

  1. Although the Aptoide website is in German the Cozmo and Alpha 1S Apps were in English.
  2. You MUST first download the Aptoide App in order to then download Android based apps.
  3. Understanding a little German helps (or use Google Translate on another device while navigating Aptoide).

Here is the website: https://en.aptoide.com/

Hopefully, I have stopped the offer of help before wasting your time but rewarded you with some useful information.
