I’m new at the robot world however not in the physics/computer world (I’m a computer programmer). My question to you is… I am looking at purchasing a system (AL5D Robotic Arm Combo Kit?) to help prototype an idea I’ve had for years. I’m hoping to utilize the system to also give me other ideas to prototype so expandablity is important to perfrom a variety of tasks. Where should I start?
A question back to you: Are you planning to write all the code yourself? There are a lot of code available for controlling an robot arm. You could start by studying Inverse Kinematics or jump right into it and buy the AL5D kit. SES brackets are very versatile for making prototype robots.
Thanks for the advice. I’ve done some imbedded programming in the past and am not familiar with the varity of tools to aid in robot development, I will definately look into studying Inverse Kinematics, thanks. I appreciate your comments.
