I’m a new roboard user trying to install Windows xpe (embedded) standard. I’ve created some target images and tried to boot them without any luck.
It seems the micro sd card drivers are not being loaded. My questions are:
-
Has anyone successfully installed xpe standard on the roboard? If so, do you have any detailed instructions or documentation I could reference? The only documentation I could find was the dmp.com/tw/tech/vortex86x/#xpe…this, however, did not include information on how to load the micro sd drivers so the board will boot off the card.
-
How do you take the micro sd card driver files (.inf and .sys) and create a bootable component that can be added to an xpe target image?
Thanks…
Jonathan,
Thanks for the XPE resources…however, it doesn’t seem to have enough information to produce a target image that can boot from a micro SD card. Do you know of anyone that has installed XPE sucessfully on the Roboard…particularly an install that will boot from a micro SD card? Is there anyone that you know of that has XPE installed and running on the Roboard?
Thanks Jonathan…on a side note, I’ve gotten XPE to boot off a USB flash drive but I’ve had no luck getting it to boot off a micro sd card.
Here is a document outlining all XPE ressources from Roboard. Maybe this will help get you going.
Yes, we have a client that confirmed XPE was a “piece of cake”
We will request he stops by the forum to share his knowledge.
For those lacking (or disliking) Word, you can have further information about the XPE installation (as well as other OSs) form the Vortex86DX Website.
