Hi

I have a bait boat for fishing and I’m looking to add a GPS to it.

What Antenna and GPS module would you recommend ?
What software would I need to download ?

I’ve looked at the links given on this post by Casmat but was wondering how easy it will be to wire all this up and what exactly I would need to get this project up and running.

I can buy a ready made kit but the cost is 600 pounds. I think I can make something up at a fraction of the price

I’m a newbie to this forum but hope someone can help

Cheers

Hadleigh

Are you talking about a full sized boat or just R/C? If it’s a full-sized boat, you only need a small laptop or netbook computer and a USB GPS receiver.

Hello seyller,

You will need a serial GPS module.

Of course there are many other localization modules that might suit your needs: robotshop.com/gps-modules.html

You will also need an RF communication link such as RB-Dfr-18

Sachez aussi que nous parlons français!
