Help for choosing the appropriate driver

Hello!

I’m an engineer apprentice in Microtechnics and I’m looking forward an electronic board for a project.
To put it in a nutshell, I would like to control at the same time two stepper motors (0.8A with 6V). However, the device would be embedded so it would be powered thanks to a battery (12V).
I have a little short of knowledge in electronics. So can you help me to choose the right board which would be both controller and driver ? Or can you help me to say which controller board with which driver board I can use?
Thanks a lot for your answers or/and your advices !!!
Have a nice day

There are many options available, but one of the easier approaches would be to use an Arduino and a stepper shield:
A popular Arduino:

with a stepper motor shield such as:
robotshop.com/en/motor-stepp … duino.html
or
robotshop.com/en/dual-steppe … duino.html

Thanks a lot for your quick answer  !!!

So do you think it’s easier to use two different boards at the first time? I will try to do this.
However I’m curious : you said “there are many options available”. What thoughts do you have about this?
Thank!

One of them is a programmable microcontroller while the other connects directly on top of it and receives commands.
Most of the stepper motor controllers we offer require input from another device such as a microcontroller or computer.

We offer a variety of stepper motor controllers here:
robotshop.com/en/stepper-mot … llers.html

Most of these can connect to most of the microcontrollers we offer here:
robotshop.com/en/microcontrollers.html

… therefore many possibilities.

Note that two items will still be needed: power (battery or wall adapter) and a USB cable

Thanks a lot !!!
I will search in this way !
Have a nive afternoon
