Help amateur get Lynx6 independant of laptop

I got the Lynx6 and I love it!

Now I want to run the the Lynx6 independantly of my laptop and RIOS. I got the Atom Bot Board, so uhm… now what?

I found an article “Controlling an Arm with the Bot Board (Basic Atom) and the SSC-32” that filled in a few points. But I’m a rank amateur so I don’t have a warm and fuzzy feeling. Do I understand correctly that I can download a RIOS sequence to the Atom board? How?

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The tutorial you are referring to was intended only to move the arm in real time. The arm control program RIOS does in fact create Basic Atom programs for saved projects.

I’ve been away from the forum for a while.
I noticed this posting and wondered, “did this question get answered?”

I have a LYNX-6 Arm driven by a SSC-32 and controlled by a Mini-ABB (packing a BS2 Stamp)

I had a few challenges, at first. The instruction documents, can be downloaded from the LYNX Arm Project Website, were very helpful in getting the project completed.

Currently, I switch back and forth from laptop to Mini-ABB control. Everything is working fine.

If you’re still having trouble with your project, leave a thread here and I’ll offer what I can to assist…

Here’s an update on my LYNX-6 setup… The Mini-ABB board with a BS2 (Basic Stamp 2) replaces the laptop. The laptop is now only used to develop new programs and download them to the Mini-ABB. Disconnect the laptop and the bot takes care of itself - if the programmer has done his job right!
