Lynxmotion Robot Arms

I’ve just purchased the Lynx 6 Robotic Arm Combo Kit for PC (serial port) and thought I would register on this forum and say hello.

I’m a C# programmer and I became interested in robotics when an email arrived in my inbox that pointed me to a phidgets website. Since that email, I have built and programmed something very similar to the SES series robotic arm sold here on this website using phidgets boards and sensors.

This is my second purchase from Lynxmotion. My first purchase was assorted hardware for my phidgets project. I was not happy as it took 4 work days before the order was actually shipped. This order is 2nd day air so I hope it ships a little sooner than my first purchase.

I’m very excited to start playing with my new purchase, and I’ll be asking a lot of questions on this forum in the future.

stinks to hear about that, it was probably during one of the busy times that u ween’t able to find out about. Jim is usually very prompt with the orders, also, u may have ordered it at a bad time, on thurs at 5 pm (central standard time) lynx shuts down until the following monday, so u might have ordered it then

oh well, i hope ur next experiences with LM are better :smiley:

actually Jared it’s 1 pm cst, orders after 1pm cst on thursday don’t even get seen until the following monday at which point the clock starts ticking on how long it takes to ship (read the notice on their order page at lynxmotion.com/ViewPage.aspx … egoryID=55 )

also, if you have a valid e-mail on file they usually send a shipping confirmation and tracking number. as for the order status pending, heh, it doesn’t seem that updating that is a real high priority. if you have the shipping confirmation e-mail what difference does it make really though.

I did order on a friday so that explains alot. That’s ok though. I’m sure this order will be shipped in a timely manner.

The “Order Status” is simply Pending, Paid, or Void. When an order is placed, the “Order Status” is set to Pending. This field is updated when the credit card is charged (Paid), or the order is canceled (Void).

There used to be a “Ship Status” but we’ve never used this field. I’ve removed it from the webstore in all the places I knew of - if you’ve found a mention of a “Ship Status” please let me know where so that I can get rid of it.
