I'm planning to make a robot who can launch missiles. Fyi, not actual missiles but small "missiles", plastic bits, maybe toothpicks, etc.I was planning for those "missiles" to be heat-seeking (I have a heat sensor for my disposal), so how do I make a heat tracking system for these projectiles?

You’re essentially making a micro drone - you’ll need at least two control surfaces and actuators, optional propulsion, a 3D thermal sensor, a microcontroller to interpret the sensor data, a main battery and quite a bit of programming since the tracking needs to be done in real time and really fast.

The first one might get too big for your project and also quite expensive since you need the tech for every missile. Also how far should they fly ? But a very interesting project …
