I was thinking if possible i would open the case and install into one of your tracked or 4 wheel drive chassis ?
There is one tracked robot i say for around $190 but comes with an Arduino. But i want to stick with the basic stamp for a few Months. My carpet rugs in this small unit was getting it stuck so for my unit i really tracked or 4WD but i want to open up the Basic Stamp scribbler and use that to build the robot.
thank , mike lynch.
Edit, can i get the $90+ tracked robot without the Arduino and if so what then would you need to charge ?
I want a chassis that when i open up my scrippler robot I can use the IR sensors and the motors maybe, the motords and the BS2 stamp.
My budget is only $120.
Thanks, Mike.
maybe this robot, i could use my BS2 Homework board and use the sensors at leat the IR distance sensors ?

robotshop.com/en/dfrobotshop-rover-tracked-robot-basic-kit.html What to you think of this kit, my budget is only $120 and i think i could use the sensors from my Parallax Scribbler.
You’re essentially talking about 'hacking" the Scribbler. There will not be any instructions on what to do, how to de-solder the sensors and adapt them to another platform. Note that the scribbler robot has really only has a few PCBs with all of the items soldered to the board; there’s not much you can reuse on other robots. This is really not something we would suggest for a beginner.
