GSM/GPS Board

Good day:

I"m going on Power Tour this summer and want to build a GPS tracker that will upload my progress to my website. You have a couple of different arduino boards that look like they could be used for this, so I’m trying to figure out what the relevant differences are. One is robotshop.com/en/gps-gprs-gs … hield.html. If there is another one I should be looking at, that would be worth knowing as well.

Thanks!

Hi,

First, you can take a look at our Localization & GPS section for GPS related products we offer (GPS modules and Shields).
RB-Dfr-190 and RB-Dfr-665 are pretty much similar when it comes to GPS.
The main difference between the RB-Dfr-190 and the RB-Dfr-665 is the Quad-Band GSM/GPS module.
RB-Dfr-190 uses the SIM808 module while RB-Dfr-665 uses SIM908 module.
The characteristics and functioning of the GPS for both modules are the same.
Here is an example of a tutorial showing how to build an Arduino GPS Tracker with the Adafruit Ultimate GPS Breakout and an Arduino UNO board.
