Besides reporting on cool robotic projects selectively chosen from around the internet, RobotShop will initially publish the “How to Make a Robot, Grand Tutorial Series”. These are going to be a series of detailed tutorials on how to get started with robotics by guiding the reader through the process of making a simple, general purpose mobile robot. “It is our way of thanking the followers of GoRobotics.net for their sustained interest and enthusiasm, and to encourage new visitors to join in.”, said Jonathan Brunet from RobotShop.
GoRobotics.net was founded in February of 2000 with the goal of filling the void when it came to finding information about amateur robotics. 2010 marked the 10 year anniversary of GoRobotics.net, a very important milestone that was greatly celebrated. The acquisition of the website by a major player in the robotics industry adds even more reason to celebrate. William Cox stated: “After 10 years of working on GoRobotics I’m ready to move on to other projects. But, I leave the site in capable hands.”
