Gordon McComb Has Passed Away

The staff here at RobotShop would like to extend our deepest sympathy at the death of Gordon McComb, who passed away from an apparent heart attack on Sept 10. Gordon had written many books, but his Builder’s Bonanza in particular included almost everything beginners needed to get started in the field.

RobotShop’s founder and CEO, Mario Tremblay has always praised the completeness and straightforwardness of the Builder’s Bonanza and indicated it is the “go to” guide for anyone interested in learning about practical robotics.

Gordon was very active and involved in the robotics / maker community and had a knack for explaining otherwise complex concepts and getting others excited about the field. His kindness in communicating and dealing with others was always apparent. He will be missed.

I have just re-joined this Forum and this was the first post I saw :frowning: This is indeed sad news, such an inspiration to so many, including me. I am sure he will continue to inspire wherever he now may rest.
