You could plug it into your laptop and use it as a 56k modem.
Hard to make out what it says on the label, but it looks like a PC-card (PCMCIA) 56K Faxmodem. As Evolution noted, you could hook it up to a notebook with a PC-card slot, and use it for dial-up service, or if you can find any around anymore, old-school landline BBSes. I donāt recall seeing any PDAs (or at least not any for quite a long time) that supported the PCMCIA interface as such, and certainly not the same form factor.
I used to have a psion PDA - looks like they concentrate on scanners and handheld inventory tracking terminals, now.
well
accaully i was thinking of somthing like this
abotics.com/buildit_yourself.htm
but im not sure you need this to do that
Ummm⦠Itās kind of hard to say for certain without a better idea of exactly what the label says, but Iām not sure that what youāve got is actually a wireless modem.
When you say that you want to build āsomething likeā the robots shown in the link you provide, Iām not entirely sure just what youāre getting at. Do you mean that you want to build a bot that reads/writes RFID tags and is controlled via bluetooth? Do you want to just build an autonomous bot that uses a PDA for a brain? Did you want to build one with an OOPic processor? Did you want to build a sumo bot? There are a lot of ideas presented on that page; just saying that you want to build āsomething like thisā on a page like that is kind of like pointing to a music store and saying, āI want to learn to play one of thoseā.
