Globalfly multi rotor controller

I was wondering how you get your globalfly to talk to andropilot app on my tablet. Thanks in advance.

To make the connection you need a bluetooth module which is not included with the flight controller.
In the manual there is a section where it show the Bluetooth module port.

Perfect thank you. And where on the controller are the connections for channel 7 and 8 on the transmitter? Thank you

This particular version doesn’t allow for all individual channels but only 5.
If you need more channels you can use the board in PPM mode instead (if your receiver is compatible).

How would I go about doing that?

What’s your transmitter / receiver brand and model ?
Some companies have PPM receivers.

I have the Storm X5 X550

The Storm X5 use a PPM receiver from the factory.
Do you try to connect another Transmitter system on your model ?

I have not done that.

We are trying to help you out with but it’s really difficult.
If you have the X5 and are using the controller which is provided with it, you should have no problem using the PPM receiver.

Can you explain what’s the problem exactly ?

Yeah sorry, it’s confusing for me too. My 2 issues are. How do I go about connect my gimbal to channel 7 and 8. Second is I have not connected it to any software (andropilot or mission planner.) Since it already comes in PPM mode would I need to connect it to a software to set my gimbal to those 2 channels?

The Receiver is a PPM one and you can’t connect channels from it to the gimbal if you need manual control.
APM use the pin 10 and 11 for control but this board doesn’t seems to have those pins populated.

So I do not have those capabilities? If so what do you recommend I do?

What do you need to achieve exactly?

I need to be able to control the pitch on my gimbal.

Did you purchase the X5 with gimbal option or you’re trying to adapt another gimbal to it ?
We took one of our 350mm RTF Quadcopter UAV w/Gimbal to look at the connections and found that there is a control between the gimbal and the flight controller on M7 and M8.

In APM you should be able to set the control on the RC signal.

Awsome, thank you so much, can I power the gimbal with the JST connector provided?

The JST connector under the frame is usually made to power the Gimbal in the version that come with it.
Make sure it provide the right voltage for you gimbal before connecting it.

I have the storm32 32bit 3 axis gimble and runs off a 3s so I think it should be fine.

You should be, most systems are made to allow for a 3S LiPo power.
