You might want to take a look at the LED settings in Mission Planner.

Ok but I guess that at least the red LED from the RC receiver should be on! And it is not neither.
And what about the internal LED not flashing.
But I can and I will try this evening.
No other way to do an hard reset?
The Receiver take power directly from the ESC internal regulator (BEC).
If it doesn’t power it could be that no power go out of the ESC’s so first check the LiPo and fully charge it before trying again.
This is already done. Last try I did, LiPo was fully charge, and was working.
I know it because with usb, I was able to Arm the copter and motors were working. The sound out of them was pretty good, normal.
We took one X5 from inventory to upload the Mission Planner setting file.
]In Mission Planner go to: CONFIG/TUNING - Full Parameter List /:m]
]On the right you will have a “Load from file” green button and use the file in attachment here/:m]

Have you looked inside Mission Planner to confirm all sensors are working ?
The LED is one thing, but it should not avoid you to fly your UAV if everything else work.
As I said when I plug the usb to the computer, I can arm the copter, (so the safety check is ok) no error are shown.
RC calibration ok and reacting
Compass calibration ok and yaw shown on HUD seems correct
fligth mode switch working
when armed, motors are turning and speed is changing when throttle is moving.
so for me everything are ok, except that when I want to turn on the controller with battery, nothing happen… So copter is not usable without other solution.
Any idea?
We will have another look tomorrow at our X5 but it is looking like an internal voltage regulator issue.
This would be caused by incorrect conn of the Radio module.

The ESC’s used on this frame have an internal 5V voltage regulator (BEC) which provide power to the system when connected to the LiPo battery.
When you connect the battery, you do have the Green LED on the flight controller ? If yes, that mean the power does go to the flight controller.
Does your receiver LED flash quickly when you connect the LiPo ? If yes, the receiver does get powered.
If the above is confirmed, it can only be an internal problem of the flight controller. Probably a Diode that blown when connecting the Radio module.
One Hack that could be done is to make a cable that go to the USB port to a set of the two pins on the ESC side where you would inject power directly in the flight controller. But results can’t be confirmed.
When I connect the LiPo a sound goes out of the motors and nothing else happen. no LED.
When you are talking about the radio module, you are talking about the telemetry. If yes be aware that I had some flights in between the trial of the module and the moment the problem appears.
So if diode have blown it is not just at this time.
What about the waranty ?
The sound you hear don’t have anything to do with the Flight Controller itself, it’s the initialisation sound made by the ESC though the motor.
It will work even if the ESC is not connected to the flight controller.
There is not much warranty once things have been connected wrongly on the board.
Has it could have damaged the diode and fail shortly after.
This GlobalFly flight controller is available alone if needed but you could install any another model as well.
We are waiting for our Purchasing Department to know if anything can be done. We will let you know.
