Gimbal Motor and Turns

Hi,

I am building a custom 2-axis Gimbal, the platform with camera will weight about 1.5kg. I’ve been looking at motors and had settled on a 90T motor, but I’ve recently read that this would not be smooth. As I understand the lower the turns the faster the motor but lower the torque.

What would the recommended turns be for a platform of this weight? Or does it depend on how quick the camera platform will be moving and how much disturbance the actual platform has to deal with and correct.

I would guess that if there is a lot of movement then a lower T rated motor would be better?

Please can you help clear this up for me?

Kindest Regards,

James

Hi James,

This would be advanced Gimbal design and we are not expert in this field at the moment.
However, we have access to high quality brushless gimbal motors with 32bit controller and even encoders if needed.
