Is there any good book to start with processing?

i was searching for something else in lmr and i bumped to a project that uses processing and i found very cool.

Yes there is.

And actually, this is another read the manual thing… I am starting to learn processing as well. If you download the processing and java software, it comes with (as well as is online) a complete list of commands, code examples, tutorials, walkthroughs, and lessons. I would google processing and when on the main page, click “learning”.

I started with a line and now I can control my robot with a virtual joystick via bluetooth!

it just seems to me too complicated ,(the graphics , the way of thinking.etc)and i thought that a book which explains everything in the most simple way would be great.

I suppose there are books but…

And don’t get me wrong, I like hard copies a lot but really, the whole “book” is all there --online. The “book” is simply in the form of tutorials and examples, etc. You just gotta do it. If you were learning French, the words, structure and pronounciation would seem daunting as well --But then you learn “where is the bathroom” and go from there.

As mentioned in the sb, go through the tutorials and experiment, don’t just copy and paste. If you don’t understand something, try figuring it out on your own. If you still don’t understand it, post a question. You’ll find a lot of it is trial and error when you are learning…

I just sorta re-read your post title… You said, “Getting started with Processing (not the book, me)” and then you ask if there is a good book to help get you started with Processing… There is a book, it is called, “Getting started with Processing”. If you need a book about getting started with Processing, it may be the way to go.

I didn’t know if that book existed I just guessed.(because of the book getting started with arduino)

I finally bought it from amazon at the price of 17 euros.

I hope that this book will help me .
