Getting a Brushless DC motor with "built in driver" to operate?

I have the following motor: 24mm Brushless DC gear motor - 12V 1000RPM - RobotShop

It states “BLDC motor with built-in driver, not need additional driver/controller”

I have tried to hook it directly to 12 V source but it does not operate. I have tried to find a way to use it with an arduino, but also no luck there.

E-S motor has not responded to my requests for support and there is very little information available for the motor. Before I abandon this motor all together, can anyone help me to get it to work?

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your motor.

Have you connected all the wires correctly? you would need both the 12v battery and the Arduino to be able to control this motor.

Connect the wires according to this wiring diagram:
