General Oscilloscope Question

I am looking for a cheep Oscilloscope to buy. I am currently looking at the Parallax USB Oscilloscope or the JYE Tech 1MHz Single Channel Digital Oscilloscope Kit and I would like to know how well they work and if you would sugest them if you have used them and what other oscilloscopes you would sugest.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like a very good product and I am now relly considering buying it. Thanks for the sugestion

Choosing an oscilloscope is not an easy task. You first concern is the speed of the signals you are trying to measure (a maximum of 1 MHz according to your suggested choice).

Also, if you are looking to make useful measurements I would strongly recommend a two-channel Oscilloscope. This way you would be able to compare two signals and perform differential measurements (an essential feature for an oscilloscope).

With this respect, the JYE Tech 1MHz Single Channel Digital Oscilloscope Kit is more of an experimentation kit that will teach you about the workings of an oscilloscope rather than a powerful measurement tool.

From my understanding of your needs, you might be interested in our newly available SeeedStudio DSO Nano Pocket Oscilloscope.

It has a very interesting form factor and has an input bandwidth of 1MHz.

Have fun measuring electrical stuff!
