(1) I’m thinking of ordering a RB-Sct-336 gear drive, but don’t see the torque listed. I just need to know how many oz-in of torque that it can handle. I need something like 20 oz-in. Will this be strong enough?
(2) I was thinking of using an RB-Cyt-206 motor to drive it. Is this the correct size/configuration motor for the gearbox?
Note that the gearbox is meant to reduce speed and provide a non-backdriveable system intended for turn-tables, time-lapse and low speed applications. This having been said, the manufacturer does not list a specific torque rating (input) for that worm gearbox, but they have tested it with a variety of their spur gear motors and indicate that they are compatible. 20oz-in input should not be a problem, and RB-Cyt-206 is the right motor type and should be compatible. Since the worm gear is plastic, we suggest progressively increasing the torque to see what happens.
