Is there a relatively simple way to have the Garmin Lidar-Lite V3HP with a digital readout of the distance. I want to install the Lidar-Lite V3HP on the underside of the wing of my amphibious airplane and have the readout on the control panel in my cockpit in order to know the height of the plane above the water.

The interface is either I2C or PWM.
Please note, there are a few considerations to take into account if your application requires measuring distances to, or within liquid:
- Reflectivity and other characteristics of the liquid itself
- Reflectivity characteristics of particles suspended in the liquid
- Turbidity
- Refractive characteristics of the liquid
