First thing’s first - this post is a Kickstarter plug for a project that I hope you will all be as excited about as I am. I contacted the site admin’s before posting (only polite) this and got a wonderful response from Carlos saying that the site would feature the project on their blog!

My friend Nick is going to build a full-size, stainless steel (possibly titanium), pilot and remote desktop (also iOS/Android) controlled Dalek robot. It’s quite possibly going to be the greatest thing I’ve (and hopefully you’ve) ever seen.
There are already some great people involved as you’ll see when you read the project page, but to succeed we need backers. There are great rewards (including the ability to control the Dalek yourself in person or remotely!).
So please have a read and pass it on to any Doctor Who fans, robotics fans and anyone else you think may be interested in being a part of building a one of a kind Dalek.
