FSR01, what about its robustness

Hello,

I’m looking to the FSR01. but I have a question…

I want to use it to push something with a control of the force applied.

I know the limit of the force measurable (~2lbs)

but I would like to know the absolute limit the FSR01 can handle before breaking?

for example, if I push something with a 50N force, will it survive for long or… ?

The datasheet for the sensor says it has a sensitivity range of 0.2N to 20 newtons, but unfortunately doesn’t say its mechanical limits.

The sensor does seem quite robust against crushing forces (but not sharp forces), so I wouldn’t expect a 50N force to cause any damage as long as it is spread across the sensor’s surface. You would have to do some testing to be sure.
