WE have a 400 series Roomba that we have lovingly names Fred. He does a bang up job picking up all of the dog hair that our three furry friends leave behind. But alas he (Fred) is dead. I have replaced the battery and have done the reset procedure but still nothing. The charging indicators show a full charge but nothing happens when we try to power him on. I would like to fix him myself but do not know exactly which part to replace. any suggestions?
Good day coopdaddi,
Without inspecting the robot it’s impossible to tell you exactly what is wrong. That being said, there are a few things we can look at.
Approximately how old is your battery?
When you say nothing happens when you try to power Fred on, what exactly does he do? Does he not turn on at all? Does the power button light up flashing red and give you a 4-tone beep? Or does he do something else altogether?
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks,
