Four Legged Robots

Hya i am just wondering if anybody could help me, i am needed to build a four legged robot and i would like to know if anybody could help me figure out what components i will need.

Look for starters at the Lynxmotion quad kits. Add an SSC-32, PS2 remote and a battery, and you’re good to go.

I have looked at the lynxmotion quad kits but unfortunately there is a problem, me and my team from college have designed a completely new way of movement, it’s actually quite unique, we have managed to get the legs and the body put together but I need to know what components to get in order to program the robot. It’s a 1:1 scale dog. My apologies I should have made my question clearer

Can you provide details of the hardware you are using and perhaps a few images of the setup?
You’ll likely need to work on a walking algorithm as well.

Model the legs and give us a diagram.
The quads we’ve made walk follow a generally radial leg configuration.

How many DOF per leg?

Does your dog have more or less inline legs on either side of a torso? can they move from side to side?

The software has tables of leg joint lengths and their coxa angles.
