I’m trying to get the image of the arm in FlowArm to match the actual joint angles of the arm (not the other way around).
FlowArm has a CAL mode, but after an hour of random button poking I haven’t managed to figure it out. The changes I do make to it appear to automatically reset as soon as I leave and re-enter CAL mode.
I can’t seem to find instructions on how to do this . . . can someone point me in the right direction?
If you had used the arm in RIOS you need to move the elbow so the forearm is level, not at 30 degree angle. Then with the servos centered the arm should be vertical from shoulder to elbow, and the forearm level. Devon will be here in four hours. He will help you with more detail on the calibration. If you click on the ? there is a help screen.
You need to click on each part of the arm and calibrate the sections in three parts. How it works is the onscreen arm shows you what your real arm should look like. The up and down buttons will offset the arm if it does not look like the screen. You need to adjust the end+, center, and end- for every part of the arm. Hope this helps!
