Flight times.

Hi, what flight times are you guys getting with your vtail 500s? Please include motor, prop, battery capacity, 3s or 4s, and if possible ready to fly weight.

Thanks!,
Eric

Hi Eric,

The VTail platforms are not the most efficient ones since the two back motors are at an angle.
We did not conduct extesive flight time tests here but with a normal setup you get between 10min to 15min of flight time.

This with our Hunter VTail 500 QuadCopter (Base Combo Kit) on a 3800mAh 3S battery and weight around 1150g.
You can possibly get more with the TMotor combo with a 4S battery.

Hope this help,

Hi guy,

4S lipo battery the voltage is 16.8V is more power than 3s lipo 12.6v, It’s more difficult to control the throttle. Therefore I suggest using 3s lipo battery for the beginner, 4s for pilots. And you can calculate quadcopter flight time use this formula flight times =(Battery Capacity * Battery Discharge /Average Amp Draw)*60, Do you know your drone Average Amp Draw? you should consider all weight of quadcopter parts such as frame, motor, lipo battery, camera, esc, flight controller etc. if do not know, how to?
