Fitting Arduino to Solderless Breadboard

Just taken receipt of my first Arduino compatible micro (NanoATMega328).

Had a quick test fit and it does not seem to want to go into my breadboard :-(

The header pins seem on both side to bend in towards the middle, should I straighten them or will this break them?

Pics attached.

Thanks

Hi;

You can bend it with

You can bend it with pincers. Or desolder and resolder the headers, but if you are new to soldering, it’s best to practice a bit with dummy boards before. Excessive force or heat will damage it, but enough tolerant.

Or use an expansion shield for the nano. Anyway leave feedback to the seller.

Most my my nanos require me
Most my my nanos require me to solder the headers in. I insert both the headers in the breadboard in the right places, then put the nano on top, then solder the pins in quickly. Then if your solder job isn’t good enough, you put the board into a clamp and finish soldering the pins in.
