Fishing ro_bo(a)t

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I can not build the robot to the end because my RC is broken.

I took a few pictures and two movies.

That is the plan.

The robot is controlled by remote control. I hope;). He swims in the water and he fishes. When the fish bites, actuated one bumper switches K2 and picaxe knows that. Engine runs and the fish is pulled.

This is Bühler Star Max 60, 12 Volt:

I eaten also the mushrooms ;)

Two proppelers. The biggest problem was: power of motors and propeller size. In Internet is not much on this topic. However, I read the size of the propeller must be more or less the same as the diameter of the engine and the rotation should not be too large.

Vour channel appliance modul.

Speed regulator.

and now the most important thing: drain PVC

Here can you load the battery.

And here the circuit breaker.

see you soon!!!!

Considering your past bots…

I’m sure it will be great! You have a flare for great designs, and a wonderful playful attitude.

Just look at your worm drawing, he is even smiling as he is mortally impaled on a hook and about to be devoured.

What if the fish is bigger than your robot? Will it float?

All tingley,

GroG

Big fish !!!

Do not be afraid, because I build the robot out of the PVC tubes. It is dense and can dive.
The robot is approximately 50 cm x 40 cm and it weighs 3000g so would be a pretty big fish :).

Waterproofing…
There was an underwater-ROV post a while back, forgive me if I can’t find it. But it did talk about sealing all your parts in PVC, just incase it goes under. For a shark-fishing ro-boat, I’d suggest doing the same. what sensors would you use?

Bumper switches
I’m going to two bumper switches.

Very nice! Different!
Very nice! Different! Something else! Cool!!

awsome
if you finishe the bot then add the expanding foam for drafty rooms that would protect agenst a big fishy
