First time - hardware/electrical parts

Hello,

this is my first post so please don't be too hard on me.

I want to build & program a hexapod robot which should be able to walk (later autonomously, too).

My biggest problem is not the programming part, as I have already programmed robot controls (/w ROS), computing of IK etc. but rather the hardware part (electrical engineering and such).

Before buying stuff blindly and spending a lot of money, I would like to know if those parts below fit together (regarding voltage and such):

The body with a shell of 15.5 cm x 17.5cm to house RPi3, Servo Control and Battery: http://www.ebay.de/itm/261910656474

RPi3 for computing stuff http://www.ebay.de/itm/252376871188

32-Channel Servo Controller as RPi cannot handle the PWM for 18 Servos: http://www.ebay.de/itm/282010069402

18x Servos MG996R: http://www.ebay.de/itm/351639855333

Battery 6V NiMh 2800mAh: http://www.ebay.de/itm/351685611515

Breadboard and Jumper Cables for testing: http://www.ebay.de/itm/331744431296 and http://www.ebay.de/itm/151994883665

MoPi hat for energy management: https://pi.gate.ac.uk/pages/mopi.html

As this is my first time building a robot I am a tad insecure about this first step and really appreciate your help in this matter.

If there is any major flaw or improvement in this setup, please let me know.

Thank you,

Alhex

Compatibility

Most of the items on your list seem fine. The one question is if the brackets accept the servos you selected. Might need to contact the manufacturer.
