First Robot - The Little 8!

Hi

I'm going to attempt to make the little 8 (https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/87) but just have a couple of questions

1: Do I need to purchase a Battery Connector as on the Shopping list it doesn't say so.

2: I want to order everything through www.techsupplies.co.uk and wanted to know what motors and wheels would work best with this. And if it will work with the same "voltage regulator" as listed on the shopping list

1) Uh - that is a good

1) Uh - that is a good question. I think it comes with a connector, but you better order an extra just in case - they are virtyually free :slight_smile:

2) You cannot get the pager motors from techsupplies - and I strongly recomend those. They are the little and fast and quite strong motors (with gears), that kind of makes this robot fun. Without them you just have a slow, blind robot that has almost no memory for the program. Any 5V voltageregulator will do.

You also want a rechargable 9V and a charger!

But why don’t you go for the “Start here”-project? I know it is more expensive, but you get something that you can use!! If you want to cut the price, then skip the servo, and the servo-upgrade, just mount the sensor onto the robot (so it cannot turn it’s head, but still can turn around and look)

I strongly recomend the “start here”-project over "little8!
