This was my first robot. It had been awhile since I did anything with electronics, so I had quite a bit of refreshers needed on soldering, etc... I modeled this robot after the "start here" model on LMR site with a few modifications. The first version I built had a 3xAA battery holder (the one that came with the Picaxe controller) but I wanted the ability to recharge the unit easily so I replaced it with a 5V charger battery from Radio Shack.
