MACON, Ga. – The first Middle Georgia hospital system to perform robotic surgery has marked a milestone – it has now performed 5,000 of the procedures. Piedmont Macon, formerly Coliseum Medical Centers, first started performing robotic surgeries in 2003. “Our goal is to make a positive difference with every life we touch,” said CEO Stephen Daugherty.
