Fire Fighting Robot (14 sensors!)

Hey everybody! I am an aspiring Computer Engineering major at Drexel University, and chose to use the RobotShop Rover as a platform for my Freshman Engineering Design Project. This project is one of the competition-type projects in this class, where Drexel gives us slightly modified rules based off of the Official FireFighting Robot Competition rules. This robot is designed to autonomously maneuver in a mock house, locate a lit candle(the “fire”), extinguish it, and if possible, for bonus points, return to the starting position. Here’s a brief spec list of the robot:
RobotShop Rover V2 + encoder kit:
3x SRF05 Ultrasonic Sensors
6x DFRobot IR Flame Sensors
Parallax QTI Reflectivity Sensor
Analog Devices PN ADW22307 Gyro
IFI Spike relay (for fan)
ST Microelectronics HCF4051BEY 4051 analog multiplexer(to connect more than 6 analog inputs)
80mm DC brushless PC fan
5200mAh 7.4v 20c LiPo

I call her “Scylla” after the 6 headed monster from Greek mythology.

Here are some quick pictures:

[size=3]Please check out my blog at du2012-grp5.blogspot.com/. The project is 90% completed, even if the blog does not yet reflect that. The blog includes detailed information about the construction, as well as a complete parts list, and access to the Google Code Repository, for using any/all of the code for the sensors and robot. Very well done. Are you going to make a (cardboard) shell so she’s a bit more “fireproof”? Looking forward to seeing it in action!

Good work. Sir I have this as a project topic and I need the list of components and the total cost of production and probably guidelines thanks.

There is a list of products in the original post. In terms of links, here’s what I can spot:

This might be a good alternative to his custom upper deck:
