Hi, we have a littli robot that is just over 1 year old. Yesterday it began cycle randomly, and get stuck halfway through cycling.
I’ve taken the unit apart and cleaned it as in the instruction manual but with no difference. When it stops cycling, I need to double press “reset” to get it to rotate a few degrees, and keep repeating this until it reaches the end of the cycle.
i’ve tried everything as per the video but the problem persists. i’ve also measured resistance across the terminals of the cat sensor, and i’ve noticed that this is an open circuit, whether or not there is pressure being applied. i suspect that this sensor may be contributing to the problem.
in addition, as soon as i switch the unit on, the red light starts flashing. if i press reset, the drum rotates a few degrees, stops, and the red light starts flashing again. I can rotate the drum (slowly) anticlockwise, however when it reaches the end, i cannot get it to rotate clockwise and return to the zero position.
further to my previous email, i have found the specifications of the cat sensor online and ascertained that it is faulty. can you kindly send me a replacement so that i can test if there are any other faults? please appreciate that the unit has now been out of order for 2 weeks.
please send me an email so that i can send you a copy of the original purchase order (16-Dec-2016) and a postal address for the sensor
