Hi,
I have no experience with robots. I wanted to get a sense of the feasibility of building a tool that can be remotely controlled and can help me interface with a microscope at work.
The goal of the tool would be to replace a slide tray which requires pulling the old tray and insert the new one.
The specs of the tool:
1- Pulls the old tray out (up 0.5 cm and then out around 20cm)
2- move the tray to the side
3- insert the new try in
An important functionality is that the system needs to be USB controllable and precise.
Basic design of such system would have a conveyer belt to move the trays sidewise. and some arm that can pull/push trays. In this case I need this to run only once. I am guessing that sensors might be necessary to ensure the proper positioning of trays.
I have few questions to the forum:
1- How easy is to build something like this ?
2- Is there a service that can build it for me ?
