I just got across this extremely small servo:aeromicro.com/catalog/cirrus_cs-3_micro_joule_servo_2838003.htm
Immediately I thought about what cool hexapod you could create out of it. So maybe this could inspire someone else.
I also found a list with lots of other small servos and other useful lightweight stuff (it’s for extra small indoor RC aircrafts): cloud9rc.com/indoorflying.asp
Still, i find the first servo neatest. It’s long shape would automatically make up the legs.
Also, i have a question regarding these servos. The cs-3 micro joule’s torque is rated as 350 g-cm @ 3.0 V while the Falcon Mk IV 1.6g Servo is rated at only 15g-cm @ 4.0 V. Could this really be right? I’m sure there are some effects depending on weight and size scaling and the Falcon Mk IV 1.6g weights half the much as cs-3 micro joule does. But it still seems wrong…
