Just wondering if there is an eta on the encoders (RB-Rbo-122) for the DFRobotShop Rover? Maybe that is an eta on the cables for the encoders?
Thanks, but they have been in stock for sometime, I ordered mine two weeks ago. However, they are still on back order for shipping.
I guess I could have worded my question better.
Thanks for the update
Any news? The last update I received was an email stating the expected in stock date was Feb 29th, which was odd as the email was sent to me on Feb 29th. Since I placed this order on Feb 11th and accounting for shipping time, I am looking at a month or longer for this order.
I also placed an order today that includes the expansion plate, which it seems is on back order as well. That is my own fault for not noticing the status when I placed the order. However, if you can check on an eta for this part too, it would be greatly appreciated as I am not willing to wait a month for this new order, and splitting my 2 orders into 3 or 4 is not worth the additional shipping costs.
I am more than happy to continue to purchase with you, but it really frustrating not having a clear indication of how long back ordered items will take.
Thanks
I don’t have any cables atm, but I did order some F to M cables with my new order yesterday.
I think I am going to take you up on the offer to ship the encoders without the cables, because they are not going to be of much use to me. I say this because as far as I can see those are one piece 3 pin connectors on each end, which are made for the v2 board that has direct encoder connections on A0 and A1. Any one using a v1.5 board will have the temp and light sensor on A0 and A1, so they will need to remove the sensor jumpers and wire directly. It wouldn’t hurt to note this fact on the encoder product page.
Thanks again
Unfortunately still waiting for the wires from the manufacturer which are set to arrive with our next shipment in roughly 2 days. We apologize for the delay.
We have the encoders physically in stock - the manufacturer forgot to send the cables with them, which is very unfortunate. If you have your own cables (standard 0.1" spaced) - we can ship it out to you now; write to us via the support center and indicate you would like the items shipped without the two cables. We greatly apologize for the delay.
Correct - for all those who want to use the encoder modules on V1.0 and V1.5 (directly connected to the board as opposed to using a breadboard), you can plug them into the analog pins; be sure to assign the correct pins to V and GND, and you will likely need to disable either A0 or A1 (or both depending on your config). We will note this in the user guides.
For crazee - please contact us via the support center with your order number and note that you would like them shipped without the cables.
