What's wrong?. Arduino energy from USB, Shield energy from 7.2v and code that works on other robot. Tested with another motor just in case and zero, nothing, blank, null, etc.

Hello.
Ok, right to the issue: Where are the 'outlets' for an external power source (i.e. 7.2v 700mAh)?. I had the adafruit, but because of my stupidity, I left the solder iron on the shield and literally it got 'burned'. This is a shield that a friend lent me and I can't find where to connect my new battery. Help me please.
Motor Shield V3
PS. If it is the 5V GND Vin, let me tell ya that it isn't. I think it should be. BTW the shield is stacked to the arduino.
Saw you asking for help on the SB. Are you looking for a response on your update? Was your original question answered to your satisfaction?
Can you tell us more about the situation. In the pictures your shield shows LEDs lit up. Is that what you see with the battery connected? More info is better.
I think this is the link to documentation for your shield:
From what I can see, the Vin should be getting power passed to in from the Vin pin of the Arduino. The 5V pin should be power passed from the Arduino’s voltage regulator.
Do you have a multimeter? Can you verify that you have 5V at the 5V pin and your battery voltage at the Vin pin? Both should be measured relative to ground.

Just the update. The LED lit up.

Ok. But I ran out of male pins. I can answer your questions on monday.
