does anyone know if the SSC-32 will work to control servos that use encoders instead of potentiometers? in other words will it work with more industrial / more accurate servos as opposed to hobby servos?
If you have a make and model we can try to help, but generally speaking the two technologies use completely different control techniques.
One of the servos that I am considering is the M-2348-xx Brushless, Permanent Magnet, Rotary Motors from Teknic
If I read this correctly these are brushless 3-phase motors with digital encoder feedback. You would then also need a 3-phase driver/controller, much like something used to drive a stepper motor (which has only 2 phases).
