I have an Emlid rs+ that I am using ntrip corrections from the MODoT cors network. My question/issue, some days it may take 5 min to get an rtk fix, some days it may take 40 mins. Cloud cover or clear sky’s do not seem to make a difference. I have tried restarting the rover, tablet, and cell phone. Doesn’t seem to help. I am using the rover to give me location for building terraces laid out by the NRCS. I farm full time and build our terraces and waterways, we have to be within a tenth of a foot. I don’t want to spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on survey equipment I won’t use very often. Would I be better off buying another rs+ and setting up a base station, upgrading to an rs2 or?
