Since the device uses 5 V DC signals and the RPi uses 3.3 V DC, they are not directly compatible. But, there is hope! 
You can use a level shifter (also known as a level converter, voltage converter or logic level converter), such as RB-Spa-879, RB-Cyt-123, RB-Fee-01, RB-Wav-34 and RB-Spa-869.
