Hello,
I am trying to get the correct electronics (Receiver, Remote Transmitter & Battery) for a project that I am trying to personally built myself as a hobby. I have no electronics background at all thus I am hoping everyone here can help. Below are my questions and a picture of what the electronics currently look like.
Actuator = For my project the actuator is just a Car Trunk Latch. The basic function of the latch is just to open with a press of a button (from the transmitter) similar to what a remote control car key would do.
Receivers - I have been having problems buying the correct receiver. Almost all receivers I have purchase send out a constant signal to the Actuator that need to be turned off by the Transmitter. Thus instead of pressing the transmitter button 1x and sending out a quick signal to open up the Latch and then turning off. The Receiver I have purchased keep a constant transmission which I need to turn off (not ideal).
If someone can tell me how to identify a Receiver that send out a constant signal vs. one that send out a 1x signal and then turns off that would be extremely helpful and save me lots of time and money buy and tying out different receivers. The only receiver I have found to work the way I want are Keyless Car door receivers.
Transmitter = In an ideal world I would like a transmitter that is capable of controlling two different Receiver. For example the Transmitter would have two button A & B that would control two different transmitter A & B. The idea is to put 2 independent latch system, but be able to control both of them with one single transmitter(remote)
Battery = All the electronic here is based on a 12V battery system. I have tried 2 different types of batteries with moderate success. 1) 12v Lead Acid Battery 0.8amp & 2) Tenergy Lio-Ion 11.2V 2200amp Battery. In my test both type of battery have experience short life cycle (less then 6 months).
Thanks for any insight or suggestion you may have to make my project run better.
