I wanted to put together a test fixture that would utilize an electric linear actuator 8" stroke in combination with a force gauge (compression/tension) so I can put a mechanical throttle control through a set of duty cycles to monitor the change in force over time based on the number of activations of the throttle control. The force levels are low below 25 lbs and speed of actuation is not a priority. Is there a combination linear actuator/controller force gauge and micro controller that would be recommended?
Thanks,
Hi,
There is not really a specific combination. Which parts you choose specifically for your project really depend on how you want to mechanically attach everything (actuator, force sensor, throttle) and what type of embedded platform you wish to work with (microcontroller boards, SBC (single board computers), etc). You’ll most likely also want a power source for your system, such as an AC-DC adapter or battery.
The best at this point would be to determine your exact requirements and which components you wish to use. Once you have the specifics down, we can most certainly give you advice about compatibility of the components and other such information.
Sincerely,
Very good I’ll work on more of the specifics and re-post. Thanks
