hi jim just wondered if you have seen this already. i had one of the EH3-r’s a few years ago so this especially got my attention.
… haha for a second there I was thinking its just rotating around and and then it walked… were those wheels motorized?
It almost looked like they weren’t and then it went into stealthy crab mode… heh It would be kinda interesting to see the phoenix walk like a crab sideways…
anyway Cool find, I think we should be put into a different category called “wheely legged robots”
I really did like those older looking robots lynxmotion made, they had sorta a rugged old look, what were those things made out of? abs plastic with some harder yellow plastic glued on the top?
I can imagine they weren’t very expensive to produce… anyway they looked neat’o

The robot is made from ultra-tough laser-cut Lexan structural components and custom injection molded components.
Oh hey,
Yeah I knew lynxmotion sold them, I guess it was like why did they stop? seemed like they were pretty unique looking, unless they have better luck with aluminum bits… You know those servo brackets you can make a whole load of stuff with them… Really had no idea they sold so many…
anyway cool link with the wheely robot.
Yes we converted the all lexan version of the bot to aluminum because it has less flex and is stronger. That bot was the predecessor to the AH3-R, BH3-R, and CH3-R bots…
