EEPROM Socket + Sequencer Code

Hello SSC-32 fans,

Has anyone had any luck making changes to the open source firmware? Specifically to make use of the EEPROM Socket or been successful in altering the sequencer code?

I was able to compile the code into ASM and use the AVR Studio to compile it into a hex file. I have not tried making changes to the sequencer code yet. I would like to have a version of the sequencer that will work for the Quadrapod with 3 DOF legs.

Also, has anyone been successful in making their Quadrapod walk?

Thanks,

Mike (the author of the original firmware) is making another version of the firmware. In place of the Hexapod Sequencer it will have several general purpose sequencer engines that can run concurrently. It will use the eeprom to store moves. When completed (after Christmas break) we will see about adding support for it with the Windows Visual Sequencer.

dgarske, you need another option on your poll.
It should read something like:

  • I am too much of a newbie to attempt programming anything.

I’ve looked at the firmware and would like to make some changes. A 3 DOF sequencer for the E3HR specifically. Oh, and a “stop” command to make an individual servo stop at whatever position it is currently at.

Robot Dude,

Thank you for letting us know about the upcoming firmware release. I can’t wait to start using it.

Sincerely,
