Dual battery with charger wiring?

Hi,

I know this is basic but I want to make sure I’m not missing anything.

I have two 6V bat-05’s wired in series. I have the USC-02 6-12V charger. If I connect the charger to either one of the battery packs, charging works normally. If I connect the charger to the combined battery packs wired in series, then I get no charging (the LED goes out altogether).

What am I missing?

Your charger can’t handle the number of cells. Better to charge each pack separately, they might not be matched well enough.
