Drones

We have a drone, we wold like to know what type of parts are required or recommended when building one from scratch. We want to be able to program the drone, give it special features, and have it fly, but we are on a $200-$500 limit. I have attached a file with some parts we have already thought of. We also want help on drone licenses, how far and high can you fly a drone without a license legally, and what perms does a license give you. We live in the SouthEastern part on Minnesota, USA

Hi Andy,

You might want to start by looking at our “How to Make a UAV” lessons.
This could give you idea about the project and get a better knowledge of it.

First off, do you want to program your own Flight Controller of you are looking for something available at the moment ?
To achieve the level of Auto-Pilot you are looking for, you will more likely need to spend a bit more than your target limit.

Is there a specific application for your Drone/UAV ? The frame would have to handle it so it’s choice need to take that into consideration.
