Drone for baccalaureate science thesis

Hi,

I’m from Venezuela (my english isnt great), and to get graduated from high school, we need to make a thesis. I, as a future aerospace engineering student, want to make a drone.

My project is to make a drone, capable of carrying things (as a pizza delivery drone, or just a drone to deliver things).
I’m new in this so i need some help. After some research, i decided to get this parts:

  • Lynxmotion Crazy2Fly Drone (Base Combo Kit)
  • MWC MultiWii Flight Controller for UAV w/ Soldered Pins (Arduino Compatible)
  • Some battery and some charger for the battery(i haven’t decided yet, i want something that can give me up to 15 minutes of flight)
  • Optic 5 - 2.4GHz 5 Channel Radio Control System OR Hubsan FPV DIY Remote Control Set (Please tell me if this last one is compatible, i would like to have the FPV feature)

Also, i need help in:
How to configure the remote control to make fly the drone and, if someone can tell me how much weight can lift the motors included on the Lynxmotion Crazy2Fly
Thanks.

Hi gavanorio,

The Crazy2Fly platform is more toward sport flying as its size is conservative. It won’t be able to carry much weight.
Its frame size limits the size of propellers / motors that can be used on it.

You might want to look for the Lynxmotion HQuad500 with maybe T-Motors motors so you can maybe have a higher lift capacity option ?
Lynxmotion HQuad500 Drone Kit (Hardware Only)
TMotor UAV Brushless Motor MT2216 900Kv
Lynxmotion 30A Multirotor ESC

Would that be better ?
