I recently bought the SSC-32…trying to play with robotic programming, my first time. However my pc cannot detect it? I downloaded the ArmControl and it said my ssc-32 card cannot be detected…must i download a driver or something like that? PLS REPLY ASAP! Quite urgent 
There is no Driver for a SSC-32 board.
This is Serial communication.
You need a compatible COM part where you will connect it and you also need to power the SSC-32.
It will respond to simple line command from a serial terminal like Putty or others.

It doesnt have a serial port connection…I used LynxTerm. When I pressed ‘SETUP’, the message ‘ssc-32 card cannot be detected’ pops up…

You don’t have an SSC-32 - it’s a copy which looks like the SSC-32. Different firmware installed.

The board in question probably uses an onboard USB to serial adapter. The below indicates that a driver might be needed to enable the adapter on the board. If you are using windows, go into device manager abd check the available serial ports shown as available. When you plug in the board USB connector to the pc, do you get a notification of an unknown USB device? If the board is detected as a serial port, make sure in the lynxmotion software you have selected the proper com port for use with the board.

This is the upgrade of the ssc32 lynxmotion version and it’s better one.
more convenient to use with many more options.
for example:
DB9 addapter?!, why?. why force us to use an adapter for adapter?
(probably, sell us an unuseful adapter…)
